The Penn State DuBois men's basketball team had their first game of the new year as they traveled to Central Penn in Harrisburg, Pennsylvnia, on Thursday, Jan. 6. Central Penn would take the game 79-73.
Director of Finance and Business John Luchini and Continuing Education Program Coordinator Shelly Luchini — husband and wife — have both entered retirement together, effective at the end of 2021. With their combined years of service to Penn State DuBois totaling more than half a century, John retires with nearly 35 years and Shelly with almost 25 years at the campus.
All members of the community are invited to a performance of traditional Native American song and dance performed by Larry Yazzie at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, in Hiller Auditorium at Penn State DuBois. There is no charge for this public event.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will again visit Penn State DuBois this year for the campus’ 27th Annual Breakfast with Santa. Children and families are invited to schedule a timeslot for breakfast from 8 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 4, in the Hiller Student Union.

Penn State DuBois’ popular Video Game Day has returned in 2021, featuring popular games available on consoles and PC’s. All members of the public, of all ages, are invited to attend from 4 until 11 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, in the DEF Building at Penn State DuBois.
Just in time for Halloween, paranormal expert John Zaffis will share his experiences with the supernatural during a free, public event on Oct. 26 at Penn State DuBois.
A mobile exhibit on display in the Penn State DuBois Library this semester tells the story of Penn State athletes who served the United States during World War I. Titled “Field to Front, this mobile display was created by the team at the Penn State All-Sports Museum at University Park, and will be open to the public in the campus library for the entire fall semester.
Penn State DuBois Wildlife Technology students will lead the 2021 “Walk in Penn’s Woods” on Oct. 3 at Camp Mountain Run. Throughout the custom, two-mile hike the group will be introduced to approximately 25 species of woody plants.
